(ALIEF) - State Representative Hubert Vo today refiled legislation that failed to pass during the last regular session of the Texas Legislature, saying that recent incidents make the need even clearer for school districts to have defibrillators available on public school campuses and at athletic competitions.
“Let’s do the right thing to make sure our young people are safe at school and during school events,” Vo said. “If one young person’s life is saved, this bill will be worth it.”
House Bill 214 would require schools districts to have automated external defibrillators available on each campus and at all University Interscholastic League (UIL) sports events. |
